Janey Jones - Experience Design Director
Here’s a debate Janey Jones once had with a friend: Can graphic design do more than make money for others? Janey said yes—it can educate, communicate and simplify life. Today, her work at Ships Company supports that argument. Janey spearheads projects that aim to transcend aesthetics, give voice to underrepresented groups and enrich communities. A graduate of Watkins College of Art, she is involved with Creative Mornings and Ladies, Wine & Design. Aside from friendly debates, Janey enjoys cooking, hiking and gaming for the left-brain stimulation they afford.
Stephen Jones - Creative Director
The most defining lesson Stephen Jones learned as a U.S. Navy photographer is that breaking out of our comfort zones is the only way to grow. Now he’s specializing in identity systems and packaging design. Stephen earned a B.F.A. from Watkins College of Art in 2012. He is a founding member of Creative Mornings Nashville, a previous Design Fellow at the Nashville Civic Design Center and Creative Director of Watkins Design Company—find him studying the art of 8 limbs (Muay Thai), sharing beers with friends or grilling with authority.
